Getting Started

To get started using a JGI Portal site, open your Web browser, type the organism site URL and enter your login information (if required). If you need a login account for a password-protected site, contact the JGI annotation team.

Once you've logged in to the JGI portal site, you should see the organism site home page:

Register to Annotate the Genome

To annotate a JGI Genome, you will need to register online:

• open the registration page and create a user name and password.

PLEASE NOTE: the login that you create is specific to the JGI's annotation tool. To access any one of the JGI password-protected organism sites on the JGI Portal, you will need to use a separate login provided to you by the JGI annotation team.
