sp. Ellin6076 has been renamed to Solibacter usitatus Ellin6076.
Ellin6076 is
a soil bacterial species in subgroup 3 of the Acidobacteria Kingdom.
Subgroup 3 Acidobacteria are found in soils, sediments, waters
worldwide, including pristine and rad/metal contaminated materials. Most
representatives of this kingdom are not cultured and, while they are
widespread in the environment, and appear abundant in some environments,
their functions in are unknown. This sequence is part of an effort to
obtain genomic sequence from 3-4 soil isolates that represent different
subgroups in the kingdom.
