Thermotogales bacterium TBF 19.5.1 has been renamed to Kosmotoga olearia TBF 19.5.1.

Kosmotoga olearia TBF 19.5.1 was isolated from an oil deposit and has a broad temperature growth range, so it is useful for comparative structural biology of thermophlic and mesophilic proteins as well as learning about oil deposit ecosystems.
